Ms. Walker received her diploma of nursing in 1984 from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois and went on to achieve a bachelor of nursing in 1994 from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois. She then earned her master’s degree as a Woman’s Health Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2010 from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois. After raising her son she decided to expand her knowledge and get a postgraduate certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating in 2020 from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois.

She has been a nurse for the past 39 years focusing for the first part of her career in labor and delivery, antepartum and women’s health, then moving onto case management of seniors and family medicine.

Mary has felt a calling towards primary care. She believes in taking the time to sit and listen and get to know a person then working together to solve their medical concerns.

Mary was born in Peoria, Illinois and chose to start her career as a family nurse practitioner by moving to Florence, Arizona in December 2021, she brought her 22-year-old son Joseph, one dog named Storm, one cat named Molly, and an aquatic turtle named Raphael.

When she is not working you can find her at the neighborhood pool or reading a book on the couch.
