Sun Life Health receives Quality Improvement Awards from HRSA

Casa Grande – Sun Life Health is pleased to announce that we have received Quality Improvement Awards from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).

HRSA provides Quality Improvement Awards to further its commitment to improve the overall quality, efficiency, and value of health care services for the more than 27 million patients served at health centers. Sun Life Health has received Quality Improvement Awards (QIA) in the following categories: Clinical Quality Improvers, Enhancing Access to Care, Advancing Health Information Technology, and Achieving PCMH Recognition.

Improving Quality of Care Awards recognized health centers that improved quality of care in four subcategories, Sun Life Health received the Clinical Quality Improvers award which recognized improvement made of at least 10% in one or more Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) as levers for improving patient services and health outcomes between 2016 and 2017.

Enhancing Access to Care Award recognized Sun Life Health’s commitment to providing quality service to all by increasing the total number of patients served and the number of patients receiving comprehensive services between 2016 and 2017.

Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality Award recognized Sun Life Health’s utilization of HIT systems to increase access to care and advance quality of care.

Sun Life Health also received Achieving Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition. Patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model has been implemented at all of Sun Life Health’s sites for over 5 years and Sun Life Health continues to strive to provide patients with excellence in health, wellness, and education.

The awards will be used to continue to build upon achievements to improve quality, efficiency, and the value of health care delivery in the communities Sun Life Health serves.
